How to use
Preparation
Ensure the surface is thoroughly sanded to remove any existing finish as this may prevent the dye from penetrating evenly.
Application
Shake well before use. If more than one tin of dye is required to complete the work, mix the tins of dye together to ensure uniform colour. Apply the Liberon Wood Floor Dye to the bare timber reasonably quickly and along the grain using a foam applicator or brush. Wipe off excess with a clean dry cotton cloth before it dries to even out the colour. To avoid overlap marks work a small section at a time. A second coat may be applied after 2 hours if a stronger colour is required. More than two coats of dye may affect the final finish. Liberon Wood Floor Dye may be added to Liberon Natural Finish Floor Varnish and Hardwearing Floor Gel to create a range of coloured, water based varnishes. It is also compatible for use under Liberon Floor Sealer, Floor Wax, Floor Oil and High Resistance Floor Varnish.
Important
Always test product on a spare or inconspicuous area for compatibility and end colour result. The colour bar may not be a true representation of the actual colour.
Precautions
Do not mix a water based dye with a spirit based dye. Wear gloves to avoid skin staining. Different types of wood produce different results. Caution must be taken when using a water based varnish over Liberon Wood Floor Dye. Keep brush strokes to a minimum as over brushing may lift out the colour. Do not allow to freeze.
