It has been specially formulated to suit most types of timber decking. Using innovative water-based technology, Liberon Advanced Protection Decking Finish contains natural oils that penetrate deep into the wood to prevent damage by water and sunlight whilst guaranteeing long lasting protection against weathering.

Its liquid formula makes it easy to apply with a matt finish which enhances the natural grain of the wood. It is safe to use around animals and plants. Product application – Preparation Stir well before use. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from previous finishes and dust. On new wood: For hardwoods, it is recommended to leave the wood exposed for up to 12 months before applying a finish. This allows the grain in the wood to open and breath and aids adhesion of the finish. On old wood: Remove any previous finishes completely and clean the decking thoroughly beforehand with Liberon Tough Deck Clean and Revive.

Allow to dry for 24 hours before applying a finish. Application Apply a generous coat of Advanced Protection Decking Finish with a paint brush or roller. Allow to penetrate for 15 to 30 minutes (depending on the porosity of the wood). Wipe off any excess with a lint-free cotton cloth. Leave to dry for 2 hours. Apply a second coat in the same way as the first. Wait 24 hours before using your decking. Important The application process has a tendency to darken the natural colour of the wood, however this will fade a few days after application. Always test product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result. Apply in temperatures between 5°C and 25°C in dry conditions. For tannelised timber, colour may vary.

Cleaning and Maintenance For general maintenance clean with Liberon Tough Deck Clean & Revive which will maintain the colour and appearance of Advanced Protection Decking Finish without damaging it. The use of an aggressive cleaner is not recommended as this may damage the finish. Ref: ASTDF300513 Precautions Wear suitable clothing and protective gloves when using the Advanced Protection Decking Finish. Store Advanced Protection Decking Finish at a temperature above 5C. Always replace the lid otherwise the product can deteriorate. Oily cloths can self combust. Do not leave impregnated cloths in bundles. Lay out flat to dry or submerge in water before disposal. Packaging Advanced Protection Do not empty into drains. Do not allow to freeze. Use only in well ventilated areas.
